Honor Flight expanding to Mankato area

The group has flown 40,000 veterans so far to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II memorial so far, all free of charge.

Mankato-based Reserve unit readies for Iraq

That training will be put to use as the Mankato-based 492nd Engineering Company deploys to Iraq to build structures for the Army and work with local citizens.

Save Your Labels & Pop Tabs

The VFW National Home for Children has partnered with the Campbell’s Labels for Education program to collect UPC codes from eligible Campbell’s company products. View article

Please drop them off at the Club and we’ll send the labels to the National Children’s Home for redemption.


Disabled Veterans Can Ride Buses FREE

Disabled veterans can now ride public buses for free throughout Minnesota, including in Mankato. To qualify, veterans must show a Veterans Identification Card with the words "Service Connected" or the initials "SC" below the photo.
The cards are available at VA medical centers in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The free rides are also offered to an attendant who may be helping the veteran while they travel. Click here for more information on how to get an ID card, or call 612-467-1991.
